Playdough Recipe

I have been meaning to make playdough for years and always end up buying it and feeling guilty about the plastic tubs. I didn't realise how incredibly quick and easy it is, so long as you have all the ingredients. I found cream of tartar in Waitrose because Aldi had sold out.

Ingredients

75g plain flour

20g salt

3 tsp cream of tartar

50ml boiling water

10ml veg oil

Natural food colouring

 

Method

Mix together the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Mix the wet ingredients together in a measuring jug, then pour into the dry ingredients.

Mix those together. It will feel sticky. Add a bit of flour until you get a dryer dough that is still very soft and easy to knead.

Store in an airtight container when not being used.

Repeat the recipe using different colours!

Cut out shapes with a knife or biscuit cutters. I like adding detail with different coloured blobs.
